As edições físicas representam 36,8% desse total.
US$ 407 milhões, ante US$ 418 milhões do título anterior. A diferença é de aproximadamente 3% a favor de Tsushima.
How do Ghost of Yotei’s revenues compare to Tsushima’s?
Our estimates (@alineaanalytics) show that Yotei has generated revenue of $407M. At this point, launch-aligned, Ghost of Tsushima had made $418M, so about 3% more.
As Yotei costs $70, and has had just two discounts, and Tsushima was $60 at launch (and was already discounted to $45 less than three months post-launch), Tsushima had sold more copies at this point. Nearly 7M versus Yotei’s 5.4M.
This is about 26% more revenue per buyer, which is consistent with PlayStation’s goal of extracting more revenue per player.
While that’s quite the gap in terms of copies, it’s worth noting that by this point in Tsushima’s lifecycle, there were about 117M PS4s and 10M PS5s in the wild, versus the nearly 100M PS5s currently out there right now (Yotei’s only platform).
That said, Yotei’s revenue is beginning to flatten more than Tsushima’s did, but perhaps the GTA-driven influx of new PS5s will soften that.
Yotei has proven to be an evergreen seller in a crowded market, shifting 1.8M copies this year ($121M in revenue) despite having just two small discounts and competing with what is one of the busiest and highest-quality release calendars … ever.
So yeah, anyone who says that Ghost of Yotei is a flop is flat-out wrong.
(Note: the Y-axis starts at $392M. Otherwise, the chart wouldn’t be readable, as the numbers are so close)

No período comparado, Ghost of Tsushima havia vendido quase 7 milhões de cópias, enquanto Ghost of Yotei chegou a 5,4 milhões.
A Sony lançou uma Complete Edition com a nova história Echoes of Sekigahara e o modo Most Wanted.
Ghost of Yotei has sold 5.4M copies (36.8% physical!), generating $407M in revenue via copies sold alone – @alineaanalytics estimates.
Yotei shifted another 500K copies in Q3 of this year – close to $30M in revenue. Yotei continues to sell well despite rare discounts on the PlayStation Store (just two two-week discounts to $50 so far).
On October 1, PlayStation launched Yotei’s Echoes of Sekigahara story expansion and the new Most Wanted run-based mode. It also delisted the original Yotei SKU and replaced it with a $70 Complete Edition that includes the base game and the new content. Existing players can pay $14.99 USD to upgrade.
Nearly 50K folks have bought the digital-only Complete Edition since it launched a little over two weeks ago (over $2M in revenue), which is mostly in line with the digital sales trajectory in Q3 for the prior base edition of this evergreen seller. And many more existing players returned to upgrade and check out the new content.
Our estimates show that Yotei was averaging around 150K DAUs in the two months leading up to October 1, but when the new content dropped, that spiked to over 300K (peaking at 327K) DAUs.
This means that over 6% of the player base returned for the update, which is a solid result during this VERY busy period for games.
